La IP es un numero que al conectarse al internet nuestra PC crea para asi ser indentificado.
Si te gustaria conseguir la ubicación geografica de una IP sin necesidad de instalar nada podemos usar Ip2Location que nos permite ingresar una IP y este nos dira ciudad, estado, codigo posta, país, Altitud, Longitud, Zona horaria, tipo de conexion, etc.
C0n solo entrar a su sitio nos da de ejemplo nuestro IP.
